Serving those who served

Our purpose

Each day, 22 veterans and first responders take their lives due to the pressures felt from post-traumatic stress, and more than 800,000 of them are suffering from PTS right now.

Warrior Impact leads the charge against this phenomenon throughout the Pacific Northwest. Based in Central Oregon, we connect our nation’s Warriors with needed resources, and encourage them to engage in the Warrior Impact program and other events geared toward curbing the devastating effects of psychological trauma.

By getting these heroes the support and resources they need to regain their footing and rebuild their lives, we hope to see the staggering numbers of those impacted by PTS eradicated.

Our Mission

Supporting our nation's heroes

The stress of war and the pressure of traumatic events can be overwhelming. Our nation's mental health services aren't always equipped to work with and understand the trials of our heroes.

Warrior Impact was started to curb and ultimately prevent suicide by providing intensive emotional and physical care. We offer new ways of coping, healthy outlets, and the tools they need to overcome the impact of post-traumatic stress and thrive.

HOW WE HELP

CONNECTING THE DOTS

Support

Green arrow down

Combining our efforts with local and national organizations, we work to provide valuable resources and donations in order to ensure we stay active in the fight against PTS.

Healing

Green arrow down

A big part of our approach is using our time, energy, and resources to send Central Oregon veterans and first responders to Warrior Impact each year. Using a cohort model, they encourage participants to engage in a 72-hour long wellness seminar using the outdoors to enable increased mental and physical health.

Change

By redirecting the experience of PTS held by so many veterans and first responders, we facilitate meaningful change along their journey toward a better and healthier life.

Purpose

We provide those impacted by PTS a new purpose and a new shared outlook through various recreational and spiritual activities conducive to healing and enrichment. Throughout the Pacific Northwest, we provide ongoing support and resources to ensure the health and well-being of our heroes.

"This goes out to all the veterans, first responders, police officers or any other service position that has experienced the invisible wounds of trauma. If you think that there is no answer other than to bear all the weight of the experiences or the only answer to silence the haunting memories, sleepless nights or loss of love and connection is to end your life. This message is for you. I’ve carried all these and more and almost ended my life because of them. I’ve been through many programs, hospitals and prison in my disease of my mind and thoughts. My testimony is that this experience, called Warrior Impact helped me unpack all of this and bring me peace and serenity like nothing else in my life. If you want a way to become the man that you know you can be this is the beginning and a path to reach that with all the support and understanding that you have been searching for. I promise that you will experience a mental, spiritual and physical healing you’ve never experienced in your life. As a combat veteran and someone who sat in the seat, I hope all those who served give them the gift and opportunity this experience will give them. I know I will never be the same because of what Warrior Impact has done for me. May God bless and keep you till you find what I have."

"Warrior Impact is simply the most powerful and significant PTS and Trauma treatment and healing program that exists. Peer led, it invites Veterans and First Responders to be an active participant in receiving and providing a safe space to heal and help others heal, through expert teaching and peer support.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve been both a donor, and recently, was provided with the opportunity to have a seat in the chair. It is a transformative and intense 4 days that lets those in the cohort release trauma and move forward with a skill set of tools and a peer group to support each other, both in celebrating the successes of life but also in getting through its most challenging moments."

"Everyone has different experiences that have caused trauma and how it has affected them. Warrior Impact has had the biggest impact on my life since returning from Afghanistan 22 years ago. I have spent countless hours at the VA going to therapy and classes, which I found helpful, but I still felt stuck and lost in life. This program got my life back on track. It taught me the ways to move forward and be able to leave things that were not serving me behind. It taught me about who I am, what my strengths are, and how to use them. I also learned what my weaknesses are and how to improve on them. It has given me the tools to be a better person to myself and for my family. The brotherhood that has been formed with fellow peers, instructors, and staff has become my extended family. The amount of time, energy, heart, and soul that they pour into this program is priceless. This isn’t a job for them, nobody is getting paid. They are here for you, and they give 1000%. They want you here, take the seat, honor it, heal."

"Thank you for an unforgettable experience on the Lower Salmon River. Your leadership, care, and passion turned this trip into so much more than a rafting adventure. You created a space where we women could laugh, heal, and connect, connect with nature and each other. From the calm waters to wild rapids, you led with strength and heart. I am deeply grateful for this journey."
